My New Year’s goal for 2025 is to read 3 books a month. That equals 36 books. It sounds like quite the feat, but I am determined to accomplish it. I do realize that as a mother of 5 kids, soon to be 6, life gets chaotic and 3 books a month may not happen, but I also know that some months I may read 6 depending on certain circumstances.
My list contains books for spiritual growth, self-development, nonfiction, fiction, romance, mystery, etc. It also has a plethora of great authors including: J.R.R. Tolkien, G.K. Chesterton, Hilaire Belloc, Jane Austen, and Charles Dickens. Another exciting feature of the list are books written by amazing saints, such as: St. Louis de Montfort, St. Benedict, St. Therese of Lisieux, and St. John Bosco. Additionally, there is also a book written by friend’s mother, Michelle Pointis Burns.
I am very conscientious of what is in the books I read. I typically don’t enjoy modern fiction or romance because it usually has a lot of content that I don’t particularly enjoy or care to subject myself to, especially when it concerns impurity. There are a few that have been recommended by Catholic content creators that I trust and so I feel comfortable reading the list below.

Conclusion
*I do want to put a disclaimer on this post that although I’ve linked all the books for 2025 that I intend to read, so that you can easier find them if you are interested in reading them. Most of these books can be found at the library, thrift stores, and on library apps as well. Using my links so that I can get a small commission is greatly appreciated, but please don’t go into debt buying these books. I actually owe a good number of these and wont be purchasing a good number of them and the others I intend to get from my library. *
I hope you come back each month to see which books for 2025 I read and what I thought of them. There is quite the variety here, so it’ll be interesting to see which titles I gravitate toward each month.
Additionally, please leave a comment if you have read any of these books and tell me what you think of them and also leave a comment of any books you think I should add to my list for next year.
