I love to bring out seasonal books for my kids. They come out during liturgical seasons, but they also come out during the physical seasons of the year, too. I will admit that Spring and Fall are the easiest seasons for me to remember to bring them out at the right time because of the corresponding liturgical season changes of Easter and preparing for Advent.
The books that I have linked in this article are some of my kids favorite books. They make me read them over and over again. For reference, I have five children, ages 8 years to 8 months and there are books for each of them.

Spring Books on Faith
I love to have books that encourage the Faith. I found these three books related to both the Faith and gardening. They made wonderful additions to our library last year and the kids still love them this year.
The Tine Seed: A Parable (ages 3-6)
My Mama’s Garden (ages infant-12)
A Garden for Mary (ages 4-8)
We also love to have cute toddler-aged books, usually board books, and these three are just beautiful. The pictures are adorable and the messages in them are perfect to introduce God’s love.
God Bless Our Easter (ages 1-4)
God Made Spring (ages 1-4)
One Spring Lamb (ages 1-4)
Spring Books on Trucks and Bugs
I have four boys so of course I had to have some books related to trucks and bugs.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar (ages 1-3)
Spring Sings for the Grouchy Ladybug (ages 4-8)
Caterpillar’s First Spring (ages 0-2)
How to Say Hello to a Worm (ages 2-4)
Construction Site: Spring Delight (ages 1-3)
Little Blue Truck’s Springtime (ages 1-3)
Books on Animals
It also just wouldn’t be Spring without those cute little animals so I usually will emphasize books with birds, lambs, and bunnies.
Hungry Bunny (ages 2-7)
Bird Builds a Nest (ages 4-6)
Bunny’s Book Club (ages 2-6)
Too Many Bunnies (ages 2-5)
A Spring Surprise (ages 1-3)
Haircuts for Little Lambs (ages 2-5)
Ten Little Bunnies (ages 3-7)
Spring in the Forest (ages 1-3)
The Rabbit Listened (ages 2-6)
We received books through Dolly Parton’s Reading Initiative. Every month for 5 years my kids have received books. Two of those books quickly became my favorites. I love how Bunny’s Book Club really emphasizes a love of reading that I hope pass down to my kids. Reading is so important and a wonderful way to spark a child’s imagination.
The Rabbit Listened is just one of my absolute favorites. It is so beautifully written and illustrated and teaches a great lesson to children. Sometimes when someone is upset, they don’t need you to do anything, but to just sit and listen to them in their grief. That is a beautiful message and moral for children to learn. I seriously could not recommend this book more.
Spring Books About the Season Change
These aren’t all explicitly Spring, but they all bring with them the beauty of the change in season. Some include rain, rainbows, gardening, farmer’s markets, the blossoming of flowers, etc.
Spring Parade (ages 4-8)
Happy Springtime! (ages 4-8)
Lizzy and the Cloud (ages 4-8)
Spring is for Strawberries (ages 4-8)
When the Storm Comes (ages 3-7)
Raindrops to Rainbows (ages 3-5)
These are all tried and truly some of my family’s favorite books on Spring. Let me know if you agree or disagree about any of these titles or if you have other books that should be added to the list. Leave a comment below.
